The term "clear window bag" is used interchangeably with "ita bag" by many buyers, especially those new to the niche. Both refer to bags with a transparent front panel. The clear window is usually made from:
- PVC (polyvinyl chloride): Soft, flexible, and the most common. Clear to slightly translucent. Can yellow or fog slightly over time with low-quality versions.
- Acrylic/polycarbonate: Harder, more rigid, and more scratch-resistant. Better optical clarity long-term. Less common — usually found on higher-end or specialty bags.
- TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane): A softer alternative to acrylic. More flexible than hard acrylic, more durable than PVC. Increasingly common on mid-range bags.
