How We Test and Choose Ita Bags

Every ita bag at YourItBag is evaluated before it earns a place in our catalog. This page explains our selection criteria, testing process, and editorial standards so you know exactly what our recommendations are based on.

Our selection criteria

We evaluate every bag against five criteria:

  1. Window clarity — the display panel must be clear PVC or acrylic without visible distortion. Yellowing, bubbling, or haze fails this check.
  2. Insert compatibility — the window pocket must fit standard foam or plastic-canvas inserts. We verify interior depth and width against common insert sizes.
  3. Construction durability — zippers, straps, and hardware are inspected for quality. We look for reinforced stitching at stress points and non-corroding hardware on the window frame.
  4. Real-world carry — we consider weight distribution, strap comfort, and whether the bag functions well when loaded with a typical collection (pins, charms, acrylic stands, or plushies).
  5. Display range — we assess whether the window size and depth support the intended collection type. A bag labeled for enamel pins is evaluated differently from one for plushies.

What we do not include

Bags that fail our window clarity or insert-compatibility checks are not listed, regardless of price or availability. We also remove styles when supplier quality drops below our baseline — if a style that previously passed receives credible reports of durability issues, it is reviewed and removed if those reports are confirmed.

Editorial independence

How customer reviews are collected

Customer reviews on individual product pages are collected through a third-party review platform. Reviews are submitted directly by verified purchasers and are not edited for sentiment. We display both positive and critical reviews.
